When I left my career in education to begin my own photography business, I believed that my teaching days were behind me.  Little did I know that my formal education would actually be so beneficial in my photography work, but also that I would once again find joy and fulfilment in using my teaching skills to share my journey, learning and craft with others.  I believe very much in having mentors in my own life who speak words of affirmation, provide encouragement and who challenge me to continue to grow.  I feel blessed to come alongside others in their own journeys in a teaching mentorship role so that they can propel themselves forward with solid learning and a solid support alongside them.

I have created my mentorship program based on my own past experiences and as a way for me to be able to pour back into the photography community that helped me grow in my own craft.

I believe the biggest things that makes learning experiences valuable are time and relationship. Based on my own experiences I know that offering a short teaching program where attendees fly in and fly out, so to speak, and then are left to work on their own is not where I believe I can be the most effective.  I have a vision for my teaching to take the form of a true mentorship where I am able to pour into you through time, encouragement and care my own learning and experience so that you could begin by standing on my shoulders and then have the encouragement and support of an established photographer behind you as you continue in your own photography journey and leap ahead.

I would love to partner with you on your learning journey. Please contact me for more information about my Mentorship Experience.

When I take a photograph I see beyond the frame, beyond the moment and I dream about the people it will influence.  I would love to help you find or strengthen what inspires you as an artist.

Soulful Heirloom Photographs

My formal education was actually as a teacher and now that I have become a seasoned professional in the photography world, I am finding some of my joy and fulfillment in my career by sharing my journey, learning and experience with others. I believe very much in having mentors in my life who speak words of affirmation, encouragement,  My first career wasIf I could tell you one thing, it would be this:  the life you're living now - even if you don't think you're at your perfect weight or that your clothes aren't stylish enough - what you're doing right now, matters. Getting photographs of each other isn't just for pleasure or for show, though they are certainly beautiful memories.  I believe it is so significant because it will be a memoir for your family in the future.

I have created my mentorship program based on my own past experiences and as a way for me to be able to pour back into the photography community that helped me grow in my own craft.
